Disclaimer: Okay, so Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny belong to themselves and each other. Robert Patrick, Nic Lea, and other X-Files cast and crew members belong to themselves. Chris Carter belongs to a nut house and Tèa...well...somewhere. But seriously, everyone belongs to themselves. I'm just borrowing them, is that okay? And Meredith? She's mine. If you want borrow her, you can. Play nice with her.

Dedication: To all snoggers out there...for keeping the snog alive. And to Nancye, you're wonderful.

Author's Notes: This is the first ever Snoggy fanfic I've ever written and after reading about Snoggy fanfic I've got my hands on, I decided to write. It's a little different from most, and I play Tèa Leoni a little differently. What I'm trying to do with this fanfic is trying to play the characters human and how they probably would react to situations, so no, Tèa isn't entirely a bitch in this one, but you'll see.

Anyone who sends me feedback, they'll get Mulder!!

Thanks for reading. :).

Prologue

I don't know how it all got started, maybe I should had caught on to it sooner but I didn't. Sure, stars of a show got together for a few drinks after work, or hung out together on weekends, but I never thought the stars of my baby-err I mean my show would be like that. They had chemistry, yes, and they both were attractive, but those two? Together in a romantic relationship? Nonsense! They were like the characters I created for them to play: respectful, compassionate, and very...different.

He was the star, already had done several movie roles, and he had that controversial role on that other freak show, "Twin Peaks" was it? He was educated, strong, professional. Kept a straight head, always serious about his work.

She, though, was the complete opposite. Never had a role quite like this before. Had starred in a few plays, was seen on forgettable TV shows and such, so she wasn't known in Hollywood. She seemed a little like my star, very serious and strong, but she had something else...something I still can't put my finger on.

How could two very different people end up in something like this?

I guess what they say is true, opposites attract.

I first noticed this little thing that the two had going toward the middle part of Season 1. I did admit to myself they had chemistry, but I thought it was their acting, not real chemistry. They would lighten up a bit and be playful with each other. A nudge here, a sly smile there, things that two 3rd graders would do if they liked each other. Casual flirting. I was sure it meant nothing. Besides, she was married, so it couldn't mean anything.

By the time the 2nd season came in, I knew something was amiss. They were hanging around each other more. They would sneak off the set after a scene and come back an hour later, claiming they were helping each other with going over scenes. I decided to ignore it, and went on, not giving second thoughts. She was married. *Married.*

Then came the baby. And what shocked me was that, he, the star of the show knew about it first. Was the baby his? I didn't want come out and say that maybe they were having an affair, it would seem so...soap opera like. It was then that she asked me to be her daughter's godfather that it got me thinking "She wasn't asking *him* ? They spend so much of their time together." But I was flattered and told her I would be her daughter's Godfather. I was sure that her husband was the father of their daughter...not the star of the show. But I still wasn't sure about it. I kept saying to myself "Chris...don't worry about it...it's her husband's child..." until I believed it.

After the baby was born, however, they became closer. There was even rumors flying around that they were having a romantic relationship off screen. They both denied it, as they were expected to, and I tried to ignore it. I had my show to run. The stars of my bab-show would have to sort things out for themselves.

1997 is when things on set and off began to cook. My co-star and her husband had separated. I remember the day when my star came in and told me, a look of happiness was on his face. Why was he happy? Was something going on that I didn't know about?

And, bam! They had went together to the awards. The kiss they shared at the Globes had people talking. They were close on the set, still disappearing after filming a scene, and I even thought at one time I saw them kissing each other. Were the stars of my baby--damn! I mean my show in love?

Then something happened that stopped all that. Later that year, he had met someone new. She was an actress on some NBC show, their agents had got my star and NBC's star hooked up. My co-star didn't like this very much, she'd come in angry or frustrated and ask to leave the set whenever she got upset. It came to my attention that maybe she loved my star. I came to her one day after work to talk about her relationship with him, but she wouldn't speak of it. It only made her upset. I thought I'd leave it alone.

My star and his new girlfriend were married out the blue later. This caused extreme tension on the set, him being a newlywed and all. He seemed happier though, but this caused my co-star to slip into a dark period. She'd leave the set and go to her trailer and he would follow her, calling her name, asking if she was okay. It seemed that their relationship was on the rocks, and you could see this even on the show. The characters they played were...different.

I noticed thought, in season 7 of the show, they were close again. They would still be playful with each other, disappearing off the set as usual. Things were how they should be; calm and peaceful.

In season 8, he was gone. He was going to do half a season. I was already mad over this, I would have to work everything around. Get a new star since my co-star's character would need a new partner. On the day of his going away party, they had danced together, and kissed in front of everyone who worked on the set. No one pointed it out, acted like it was an every day thing. But I took it seriously. He was married, and had a little girl now, why was he kissing his co-star?

My personal assistant had told me not worry about them, but to think of them in a Mulder-Scully type relationship. I decided to listen to her, that maybe she was right. But still, it had me thinking. When I cast my new star, the flame that my co-star had carried was gone. She wasn't herself, and often said she missed her former co-worker. But, he was to come back soon, so she held on.

When he came back, everyone greeted him happily. She had ran from her trailer and jumped into his arms. He spun her around in circles, telling her how good it was to see her and gently kissed her. I had seen this, everyone did. My new star nudged me and asked if there was something going on, but I never said anything. By now, I was sure that they loved each other.

But now, things were to change again. He was to leave for good. My co-star would probably slip into her dark period again. She would be tired, restless, and most of all, seemingly heartbroken.

All I could hope for was the best.
